- The cuckoo and the swallow that we see in Ireland in summer migrate to other lands in Autumn. It is said that the cuckoo never builds a nest of her own, she lays her eggs in other birds' nests.
The swan is a very strong bird. She builds her nest in reeds. Some people say that the swan is able to break an oar with its wing.
