The remains of which is still to be seen. In olden days there were all sorts of music and amusement heard at this place, and it is is given down in tradition that the music that was heard in it was lovely. It was nothing unusual to see it lit up at night. If the people were out late on any occasion they would see the "Good people", and they would see dancing and others playing music and people playing cards, and tricks. There is a big ash tree growing in the middle of the fort. There is no entrance of any kind and no one ever went down into it. No one interferes with it in ploughing and it is all bushes growing around it.ContinuedThere are five fairy forts in my district. Francies fort, Drumlim fort, Feeneys fort, Horans fort, Foloys fort.
