    it brings rain because the south west wind is the prevailing wind and it blows across the Atlantic Ocean and is ladden with moisture and deposits a lot of rain in Ireland. When the winds blows from the north it brings snow and when the wind blows across the continent of Europe and it is a dry wind we have good, dry, warm weather.
    When rain is approaching ducks and geese begin to quack and fly about. The cat sits with its back to the fire and begins to wash her face with her paws and a dog lies at the fire and is very sleepy and drowsy when the bad weather is at hand.
