    anymore. The watchfixer kept it for a week, but then told the man the works were all destroyed and how no one could fix it. The poor man was heartbroken as he got the clock from a friend in America. When Neddy heard that the clock never went, he said it was the mans fault, that he did not wind it right.
    Neddy came on another day to the house, and thought he would be the same as ever in it. The old woman there all night sitting at the time. She had as good a meloion[?] as ever for poor foolish Neddy, but the man was up on the loft, and he started to peg potatoes down at Neddy, and non stopped after him until he had beyond at his own home, so he didn't ask to come back anymore.
