    to mass. The old people wore clogs in winter but they went in their bare feet in summer. Sometimes they made their own clogs. There was a man in Ballygeeher named Patrick Shanley who used to make the clogs for the people. The clogmaker's father, grandfather and great-grandfather followed the same trade.
    When the people would wash their feet they would put the water into cans and keep it to spray cabbage to prevent worms and maggots from eating it.
