a rug on the or a pin on a stone.
There is an altar stone beside a lone bush on Eddie Beirne's hill in Cashill where the people used to say mass long ago.
It is said that two giants were fighting on Cairn Hill and one threw a stone at the other and missed him. The stone fell on John Beirne's hill in Cashill. The stone is there still and the track of the giant's five fingers are on it. The distance from Cairn Hill to Cashill Hill is about ten miles.
