the murder. So he took out the bit of cloth and told the story, and said whatever policeman the piece of cloth fitted was the man. So the judge ordered in all the police, and they got the man that the piece fitted. So the policeman was hung and the other man let free. The people were very pleased with the workman so they made up a collection for him and he got £700 in the town and he started for home again.
When he arrived home he went into the kitchen and his own son had grown so big that he didn't know him. He thought he was another man that was living with his wife and he grabbed the hatchet to kill him when he thought of the third advice - never to strike a man in his anger, so he didn't hit. After a moment he recognised his own son. Then the wife made tea for all and they cut the cake and in the middle of the cake they got the man's three years wages, and they all lived happily ever afterwards.
