Each time he cut a Swarth he stuck a harrow pin and each time the voice said in great distress:- "Hard docking McDonagh" When the piece was half cut the voice spoke and said:- "When do you whet McDonagh", and McDonagh replied, "Oh I only whet on a Monday morning, and not again till I quit on Saturday evening" and the voice replied "Smart man McDonagh." When the last blade was being cut, hundreds of men that were long dead appeared and all shouted together Bravo! McDonagh. The neighbours who were standing by took up the cry and the countryside(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
