    a white hair in them, or two white horse without a black hair in them. He has to trace the horses to the crock by means of chains and they will pull it out of the lough.
    When the eel finds that the crock is moving he will put his tail in his mouth and give three whistles to give the alarm to the fairies or leprechauns who own the gold. But alas the crock of gold will be taken before any help arrives, as the charm of the pure black or pure white horses cannot be broken by fairy power.
