The men were afraid to do what she told them. They said there was to be a widow's son, named Brady, killed before the money could got; but she told them no life was to be lost but she could not convince them.
She wiped the moss off the stone with her hand and took the spade from one of the men to dig it up herself but they would not let her.
She went back home and died in a fortnight from a broken heart. The stone is now covered with clay. It is said that the charm of the treasure is broken and that nobody will ever get it so no one ever made an effort since to get it.
