Once upon a time there was a man named "Myles the Slasher" who caught a water horse. A horse and foal came out of Garradice lake to feed on the grass. Myles got between the water and the foal. When the foal made for the lake Myles caught the foal and brought him home and kept him for many years.
One day the foal was feeding beside the lake. Her mother put up her head in the lough. The foal made off to the lought and was never seen again.
