    feet six inches from the ground what is made of mud and stones. On the top of this hob is a flue in fronth of the flue is a tur-iron which is a square block of metal weighing about a 1/2 but measuring about 12 X 12 X 4 1/2 with a round hole in the centre measuring about two inches in diameter to admit the iron tube of the bellows.
    The bellows is made of two large planks of elm about 33" wide and about 48" long tapering to the tube end. The top plank of the bellows is stationary and the lower plank work on a hinge of strong leather the two planks are connected by a large hide of leather. This hide must be large enough to let the two planks be about two feet six inches apart at the big end when fully opean.
    The handle of the bellows which is about seven feet long is suspended from the roof of the leantoo which covers the bellows within two feets six inches from the big end. At the end of the lower plank of the bellows
