- Long ago travellers visited our district about once a month. When they would come they would stay only one night. They called to the neighbouring houses that day and begged for food, clothing and money. The O'Briens and the Coffeys were well known in Kerry. When they would visit the towns they would play music and sing from door to door. While they would be playing they would have a person gathering money for them. They visit our house all the time.
