    Then an agreement is drawn up by a solicitor, the money is paid in his presence.
    It is usual to keep back £ 100 or so of the fortune for a year.
    The boy then buys clothes for himself and the girl, and also a ring.
    They also appoint the wedding day.
    The priest must then be consulted and settled with.
    On the morning of the wedding the boy comes to the girl's house.
    All the parties go to the Church to witness the ceremony and return to the girl's house for breakfast.
    In the evening they go to the boy's house.
    A large party gather in and they dance and sing until morning.
