The best known of these travellers that come around are:-
An bacach ruadh so called because he has red hair and he is lame.
Páidín an bPaidrín so called because he was always praying.
The blind fiddler so called because he was a great fiddler.
In olden time a traveller used to visit the district.
He used to lodge in some neighbouring house.
One night he slept in a house near a river where there was not any bridge.
He pretended to be very poor.
He died in that house and three hundred and fifty pounds was found in his pocket.
