- (continued from previous page)they say:-
The wren the wren the king of all birds,
St. Stephen's day she was caught in the furzes
Although she was little her family was great,
Get up landlady and give us or treat.
Then they sing and dance and play music and the people of the house give the captain money.
They go on to the next house and so on until night.
That night a wren dance is held in some house in the district.
They use the money to provide a great feast.- Collector
