This was a strange thing to happen, because this steamer was so large, that it could carry a cargo of over a thousand tons, and it could only travel in deep water.
This strange steamer was known as the "Phantom Boat", and it was supposed to be lost some years before. It was seen by many people; and a few nights before my father and the other men saw it, fishermen in Galway met it when they were fishing.- Collector
