  1. I reside in the townland of Tarmons, in the parish of Tarbert. Fifty eight families and two hundred and fifty seven persons live here. Twelve persons are getting the pension.
    There are few trees to be seen. There are two forts and three rivers. One divides Leitrim from Tarmons. Another divides Dooncaha from Tarmons and another divides Ballygoughlin from Tarmons.
    Three grocer's shops are in Tarmons. There is also a carpenter's shop. Some of the houses are thatched and some are slated.
