  1. There are many forts in our district. They are called Lan... Liscahane, Lisweenaugh, Doon, Rathoneen and many others. All these forts are within view of one another. They are circular in shape and are generally built with earthen banks. In the townland of Kilouran there is a fort called Casement's fort. It is surrounded by trees and it is said that there is a cave and an underground passage but these are not explored yet. In Rathoneen there is a fort called Lisweenagh which was ploughed and nothing happened.
