    Local Cures
    your foot or your finger she will take a thread and will say some prayers over it. She then gives it to you, and you tie it on the sprained foot. It is said to be able to cure it.
    Another disease is Head Fever. People who have an awful pain in their head think that their head is open and they go and have it measured and sometimes they say their head is two inches too big. The woman then ties a tape round your head and it remains there until the pain leaves your head. The tape is then burned.
    Another disease is Sore Eyes and it is cured by Mrs Peter Feeney Menawn. She gets a saucer of water and says some prayers over it and it is said the dirt will leave your eyes and come into the saucer.
