- Brigid Og's Night is always on the 31st of January. On that night young boys and some young girls dress up in different clothes to what they wear every day and put masks on their faces which we sometimes call false faces, so as not to be known.
They go from house to house begging for money which they earn by amusing the people of the house by singing, dancing, or playing music Then they get coppers from the people. They go in big batches and small batches and each one always brings a stick with him.
