In olden times people used to believe in cures and charms and some people believe in them still.
Mrs John Kilgannon of Dunbekin Drome West Co Sligo had the cure for the Ersiplas. The person that goes for the cure has to bring unsalted butter.
Mrs. James Lynott Templeboy Co Sligo had also the same cure. She would not alow anyone to see her making the cure.
Thomas Kilgannon Dunowla Co Sligo had the cure of the sprain
Mrs Lang Skreen Co Sligo could take a mote out of a persons eye and the person miles away. She takes a mouth full of water. She then wrenches her mouth throws the water out on a saucer and the mote that was in the person's eye will come out in the water.
