    bought, or if one sold anything on these days the money would be unlucky.
    The nearest market to my district in former times was Dromore West. There are two markets geld there every week, one for eggs on Wednesday and one for pigs on Monday. The nearest market for farm produce was Easkey. There was a market held in it one every week for potatoes all sort of corn.
    The different names of the coins are as follows:-
    A bob, a tanner, coppers, four penny bit, a Sovern, five shilling piece, farthing, nickles, dum.
    A bob is a shilling, tanner is sixpence, a nickle is American money, a dum is a sixpence.
    Some of the coins are gone out of use now such as the four penny bit and the farthing.
    Tinkers money was always returned. It was no use, it was too light.
