    We sprout the potatoes in boxes before we sow them and have them in the boxes for a couple of weeks. Then we take them out and make three or four splits of the big ones if there are buds on them but if there are only two buds on them we can only make two splits out of them. We plant them on the ridges or on the drills and another man will put them into the holes and cover them with clay.
