  1. Less than a 100 years ago the priests in this parish came to the wedding at night to conduct the marriage ceremony. Now with the two priests a clerk a fiddler and a cook. The plate went around first for the Parish priest, next for the Curate , next for the fiddler and last of all for the cook so it was a very costly agreement tjo attend a wedding in those day.s
