The Parson was buried in Milltown Abbey. His coffin used to be on the top of the earth until they were tired of burying him. The took him out on the water and tied his coffin to a boat. They let it go in the bay and it was never seen since.
The point where they took him out is called after him, "Porteen Buthay". - There is a very big well in Mr. Burke's farm near Kilcolman Abbey at Milltown. It is a huge, circular pond with a diameter of about thirty feet. The depth of it is unknown. Many local people believe(continues on next page)
