- People used the elder branch for dyeing grey and this is how they used do it:-
They used break the branch, and put itself and the wool into a large pot or boiler, and boil for a few days. Then they used get a kind of clay from the bogland, and put the wool and the clay into the pot, and boiled it. When it was boiled, it was a black(continues on next page)- Collector
