  1. Born was I of flesh and blood
    As other creatures be
And now neither flesh nor bone
    They don't remain in me
They took me from my mother's side
    Where I was finally bred.
And when to perfect age I came
They then cut off my head
They gave me to a poisonous ink
By it such powers I had
To set at war the best of friends
    And make true lovers glad
All this I did and ten times more
    My mission to fulfil
Through of myself I have no power
    But by my guider's will.
    Answer: A quill pen.
