  1. (continued from previous page)
    Christ came to him alone
What ails thee Peter and makes thee shake?
O! my Lord and Savour, I have the toothache
Whoever says this prayer three times for my sake
Shall never again have the toothache.
For toothache also, put ginger into the tooth.
    Bleeding from the nose:
Lie back and place a stone at the back of the neck.
For a Bealding (?) or (Stone Bruise)
Cut up a black snail and put it to it.
    Warts-
Go to a field where there are big stones. If you find water in a hole in them dip your fingers into it and the warts will fall off
    or
If you get a black snail without looking for it and rub it to them they will disappear.
