- My name is Olive Hudson. Our cows at home are called Larry McGowan, Blacky, Goody, Bluedy, the Blind cow (one eye blind) Gilmore's cow and the red cow. Any with men's name were bought from men of that name. When driving the cows we say "Go on o' at". To call the hens I say "chuck, chuck". It is said that if May flowers are put on the roof of the byre on the morning of 1st May that the fairies will not take the milk + that they flowers bring good luck.
