- If seagulls keep always round a house the people of that house will soon go to a funeral of near relation. It is said that if you see one magpie sorrow will come and if two joy.
The crows and seagulls follow the plough and eat the worms. In this way they do great work for the farmer.
The seagulls come inland before snow or storm.
