    about five inches in diameter. This beam was called "Maide Eamoin." It was very hard for any enemy to open that door unless it would (be) was broken. There was a basket-maker int his district, and this is how he earned a living. He made different kinds of basketts for all the people of Wat Rouse of Fiddaun has still this old method for bolting his doors. There was a basket makers a basket maker in our district and he made has living by making baskets and creels. His name was Mr. Pat Hannon of Muingware. When they would have a crowd of men working they would lift a basket of potatoes and leave them on the table. He also made baskets called creels for putting out [illegible] a soft bogs. These baskets were hung on a straddle made by the people themselves out of a critch of timber and straw on each side of the sod. Long ago people used them for bringing their goods to the market.
