- I live in the townland of Fiddaun, in the parish of Castleconnor in the barony of Tír Fhiachnach. There are ten houses in it and they all thatched, except one. The most of the people are married an have large families. The two oldest people in it are Mrs. Rouse and Michael Howley. Mrs, Rouse is nearly a hundred years of age. She does not speak Irish.
