- Old Graveyards
In my parish there are three Churchyards, namely - Rathbarr Killoran and Kilvanrnet. Rathbarr graveyard surrounds the Church which is still in use. There are lovely marble tomb-stones in it. My Grandfather Hall and his daughter my Aunt are buried in it. I don't know anything about Killoran graveyard as I have never been in it.There is an old ruin in Kilvarnet Graveyard. It belonged to the O'Haras who were princes of that place. One of them was a Friar in the abbey and so he was called Friar O'Hara.
