   and curlews. The rooks build their nest on the top of the tall - trees. The bind it together with sticks and moss. They sit on the eggs for three weeks. The robin builds in the white - thorn bush and in mossy - banks. They make the nest out of moss hair and hay.

   The sparrows build in old ivy - houses or house - evaves. They sit on the eggs for three weeks also. The curlews builds on the mountain. When there is a change in the weather for good weather the swallows fly high and they fly low when there is a sign of bad weather.
   The curlew gives one squeal for good weather and when there is a change for bad weather she gives two squeals.

   The corncrake sings during the Summer but when Winter comes she stays in the ditches and sleeps all the time because is one of the seven sleepers. There are two stories told how the robin got the redbreast. Some people say that when Our Lord was dying on the cross the robin came and looked up at Him and a drop of blood fell on her breast.

   Others say that when Our Lord was taken down from the cross the robin came and was covering Him with leaves. When she was covering His hands and feet the blood got on her breast. There is a small bird called the Riabóg [?] that follows the Cuckoo and hatches her eggs. The only bird supposed to talk is the parrot, he repeats after a person.
