There are two holy wells in the parish, namely St James' Well and Tobar Ella.

cured if it is God's Will. Every person that comes to the well bring a bottle of water home with him.
People also leave pictures, beads and prayer books after them. There are large sycamore trees round the well and a high stone wall also to keep the cattle from tresspasing there.

The pilgrimage to Tobar Ella begins on the twentieth of August and continues until the end of December. Saint Ella is buried there and the people generally leave alms on the tombstone. There is a cure for every disease there. If a person sleeps for one night on the flag whatever disease he has will be gone from him in the morning
