Ar an leathanach seo
- In olden times the people said if the crickets sang sharply there would be rain. If the crickets were in the houses the people thought it was either good or bad luck and some said that a person would die at home or abroad and when the person would die the crickets would leave. If you killed any of them the ones left would eat your clothes particularly your stockings.
They were to be found in the old stone wall houses, mostly.
When people were going to new houses they would always bring a cricket with them.
