There is a spring well situated about a quarter of a mile from the house called "King Stone Well". A monk who lived in Toomour Abbey once threw a stone and said that wherever it fell a spring would spring up. It was in Patrick Henry's field it fell and a spring sprung up on the spot. It is since known as, "King Stone Well".
