    send her away. During the night she stole away having heard Saint Patrick was preaching around the plains of Boyle. She went to him and told him her wish and in due time she was professed a nun at Gregraighe near Lough Gara.
    She sent her man-servant to select a place where she could build a Hostel. This she found at Boyle and there built the first commercial Hotel.
    She also built churches, one, half-way between Drumconnell and Assylin, where the present Convent of Mercy now stands. Ruins of other churches may be found at Killaraght, Kilmachtiegue and Tuam.
    Saint Patrick said mass in St. Attracta's church, and during the mass the were short of a paten. St. Attracta was serving mass. Saint Patrick told her and she said it was alright and to continue.
