    Leckcastle belonged to Geraldines planted in the west by King John. They sprang from a nephew of Raymond Le Gros. Young Raymond married heiress (Johanna Fitz Henry) of Rattoo, Kilury and Ballyheigue. Thomas, their 1st Lord of Kerry.
    In 1568 James, son of Maurice Fitzgerald, attacked on behalf of Geraldines in London Tower.

    Ballubunion:-
    Family of Bannan, Retainers of Geraldines in West Lk. in 1290. Built in 1500.
    Destroyed 1582. Lost in 1583 for Rebellion. Thomas, Lord of Lixnaw gets Balluybunion.

    Irrac[?] Coast.
