- (continued from previous page)of the said field until the come to a huge flat stone. They lifted the stone and found gold and silver to the value of £1080. They also found silver in the centre of the field to the value of £25-10-3. Lights it is said are seen there frequently. There is an old road leading from Seomra Máire to Wren's fort at Droum Castleisland. Mr Wren once built a house for cattle on this road. The first night he put the cattle there, they were all found dead in the morning.He knocked this house again and built it elsewhere.
- There's a field near my grandfather's house named "Páirc na gera" near Castleisland. A part of this field is very rocky. Around one great rock(continues on next page)
