    All the Slatterys from Carrignafeela and friends from outlying districts were in the fight, while the Connors of Clogher parish were there to a man, helped by others who were not cousins of the insulted, but bore the same name. The Glenvageerty Connors and the Maglass Connors were the principle Connor families in the struggle.
