    Martin Stephens comes on fair days and on race days. He gets lodgings from James O'Connor of Meenvoughane. He is rather odd and would not stay in the village. Mary from Cork and Nellie Mulcahy are also odd, they sleep in the open air. An amount of tramps are arrested on any pattern day.
