    One day as he was shewing wheels near the forge a woman named Máire tSléibhe from Nohoval happened to be passing on her way to confession.

    " Dia 's Muire is Pádraig duit, a dhuine chóir " arsa Máire
    " Dar fiadh, a Mháire " arsa Seán
    Acht ná fuil athrú tagaithe ar an sean-fhocal úd:-

    " Castar na daoine ar a céile
    Acht ní castar na cnuic ná na sléibhte "
