    A boy of the name of Counihan was charged with stealing or doing away with the bonham. So the Captain ordered that Counihan be put into a sack and drowned in a pool not far away. The pool up to this day has the name of poll Counihan. The Browns became very unpopular after that. (In knoppoge which is the) The bonham succeeded in releasing himself in the evening when poor Counihan was dead. It is how the bonham got stuck in a gullet he was not stolen at all.
    In the townland of Killeen there is the ruins of a church and graveyard the signs of which are still to be seen. The spot where the church was built can now be pointed out and a large amount of stone which was used in the building are still to be seen. Lumps are seen in the field and it is said these are graves. It is said that a priest was saying mass at Killeen and before he had the mass finished he saw soldiers coming and he ran and finished the ceremony at a place called
