    When flour became more plentiful. "Steampí" was made. First the potatoes were grated. The grater used was a piece of tin holed with a nail. The starch was squeezed out of them with a cloth. A little flour and salt were mixed with them. A quite flat cake was made. It was whitewashed (covered over and under with flour) and baked on a board before the fire.
    "Bocstí" or "Yellow Boc" was made with yellow meal wet with boiling water. A little salt and sometimes a tiny pinch of flour were added. It was baked on a griddle in quarters. Sometimes it was baked in an oven over the fire. Somebody
