- Tramps are men who wander from door to door begging for food. A tramp would do anything for money or drink. Some tramps are robbers. The names of Tinkers are Coffey's, Briens, and Sheridans. The Coffey's from Limerick the Briens from Tralee, and the Sheridans from Cork. They live in caravans and they never shave or wash. Some of them spend most of their lives in prison on account of robbery and theft. Some tramps make their living by selling wares. They often go poaching to earn a dinner.
