Seventy or eighty years ago the priest used to marry the young couple in the girl's home. The greater part of them were married in the church and they all had saddled horses with them which were called the "drag home". They had a wedding at the boy's house until morn. In those times a band of strawboys with straw round their legs and waists, and masks on their faces came and danced a few sets with the wedding party, take a little drink and then depart.
