- The ODonoghue lived at Tomies in a house originally built by Captain Chambers. He was elected M.P. for Tralee. Paddy Nagle wrote a balled which began with the lines
"In Parliament House they are as mute as a mouse,
when they had the first note of O'Donoghue's voice"
Paddy Nagle used to start with his two sticks at the same time as the mail car for Caherciveen and he used to arrive there before it.
The O'Donoghue left Tomies and went to Ballinahoun Court.
Geoffrey was the son of the O'Donoghue. he was also a good speaker but the Parnell split(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
