    made and th name of it was Sounds. It was made by steeping oaten meal in an earthware vessel and leaving it for a couple of days to steep. Then the top was taken off and the juice is called sounds. Whey was another food that was made on fast days. Long ago it was made by milk potatoes and oaten meal and eaten at breakfast, dinner and supper.
